Andy commenced as CEO in August 2011 following the position of Industry Development Manager at the Water Industry Alliance. Prior to working for the Water Industry Alliance, Andy worked for 8 years for Optimatics, a member company of the Water Industry Alliance, where he managed the company’s business development in Europe, including working with 6 of the 10 largest water utilities in the UK.

Andy’s experience as a water engineer, business development and sales, project management and software development has provided a well rounded understanding of the needs of the water industry both nationally and internationally and how to help members business grow. In this role he continues to draw on his strong network of water industry professionals in Australia and around the world.

HAYLEY MCDONALD

Hayley joined the Water Industry Alliance in January 2013, coming on board as the Marketing Coordinator, she will also be assisting with WIA Administration. Hayley manages WIA branding, promotions and consistency of messaging across the different media platforms that the WIA uses.

Hayley coordinates WIA communications, the WIA website, eNews and quarterly magazine, Solutions in Water. Hayley comes from a communications background, previously working in the automotive industry.

Events & Member Services Manager

Jessica joined the Water Industry Alliance in November 2013. As the Events & Member Services Manager, Jess runs all the WIA events and is the contact person for memberships.

Jess has previously worked in a range of business and project support roles within Government, including the Department of Primary Industries and Regions, the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion, as well as for Mr Mark Goldsworthy MP, the State Member for Kavel. Jess' background in events comes from her previous employment with Disney Cruise Line working onboard their fleet of cruise ships as the Entertainment Operations Assistant. Jess has also completed a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies, majoring in Politics and International Relations.

DAVID EVANS
Cluster Facilitator

David joined the Water Industry Alliance in August 2015 as the Cluster Facilitator for the WIA Smart Specialisation Clusters WaRDA and MAR Hub.

As the Cluster Facilitator responsible for the WIA's smart specialisation clusters, he brings with him a wealth of experience in the water industry, having worked for the past several years with a South Australian manufacturer in the water industry.

David has an educational background in engineering and business, to name a few, as well as a broad depth of experience in sales and marketing. In his previous role David travelled extensively within Australia and overseas to Asia and Europe.

As a South Australian passionate about growth and promotion of the state, and with experience and background in water, he works with our smart specialisation clusters to aid them in providing globally leading expertise to markets locally and across the globe.
