Get Connected

The Water Industry Alliance makes getting connected to the water industry easy. Our wide network includes members, research and development bodies, industry specialists, centres of excellence and education and training providers.

The Water Industry Alliance is a half a billion dollar export hub connecting water decision makers, policy leaders, research experts and product developers around the world to leading edge water solutions.

Adversity has a way of breeding innovation and success.

South Australia has the distinction of being the driest state in the driest inhabited continent on Earth. The Murray River, once one of the world’s longest rivers now confronting climate change and over extraction finishes its 2756 km journey in South Australia as a saline, muddy stream frequently unable to reach the sea.

South Australia’s relatively small population and economy has driven local businesses to be innovative, nurture relationships and be global in their market outlook.

These factors have helped shape South Australia’s water industry to become a global player in exporting water management policy, research, products and services.

Close relationships and open hearted collaboration - between governments, research institutes, water utilities, public and private companies - an amazing explosion of water innovation has taken place in South Australia during the last decade and a half.

Much of this energy has been inspired by the Water Industry Alliance. Our key role has been to help our hundreds of member companies connect and promote South Australia’s four competitive strengths.
