The IWA is the leading global network for water professionals, comprising members from more than 130 countries worldwide. The IWA-ASPIRE Conference and Exhibition is the IWA’s biennial international flagship event aiming to bring together experts, academics and government officials in the field of water and wastewater from around the world, particularly the Asia Pacific Region, to share and discuss best practices and current development of water management issues. The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management Hong Kong (CIWEM HK), Drainage Services Department (DSD) and Water Supplies Department (WSD) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have joined together to co-organise this biennial conference.
With the theme of “Smart Solutions for Water Resilience”, this international flagship conference aims to address the topics related to water supplies, wastewater and stormwater management, greening, energy saving andsustainability, as well as total water management. The highlights will be smart and novel solutions for building water resilience capability beyond mega cities in respect of water resources and supply, flood prevention and sanitation. About 1,000 delegates are expected to attend this important conference. The IWA Hong Kong is delighted to have Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, to officiate the Opening Ceremony of the Conference.
The Department for Trade, Tourism and Investment and Department for Environment and Water are keen to determine the level of South Australian interest in this conference and exhibition and whether there is value in coordinating a booth or presentation arrangements to appropriately promote the State’s water sector.
