September Members Night - 24th Sep 14

Due to a number of conferences being held in the third week of September and to assist members who are unable to attend on a Tuesday, the WIA has chosen to move the September Members Night to Wednesday 24 September.

Please note: There will be NO Members Night on Tuesday 16 September.

We are pleased to invite members to join us at the September Members Night to hear from Trevor Tucker from the Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR). Trevor will be providing members with an update on the implementation of the OTR.

The Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR) assists the Technical Regulator in the administration of the legislation for the electricity, gas and water industries.

The relevant legislation includes;
Electricity Act 1996
Gas Act 1997
Energy Products (Safety and Efficiency) Act 2000
Water Industry Act 2012

The OTR is responsible for compliance with the legislation and applicable technical standards in the electricity, gas and water industries to ensure the safety of workers, consumers and property.
