Principal and Leading Edge members are invited to attend the March Thinktank Session - The Changing Role of the Private Sector in Local Government Water and Wastewater Management.

Hosted by WIA member, TRILITY, the 'Role of the Private Sector' Thinktank is an opportunity for WIA members to participate in a high-level roundtable discussion on the varying opportunities for local government to engage with water and wastewater specialists to benefit from their expertise for the good of their communities.

Various councils have expressed an interest in exploring these opportunities but to date the attempts have not been successful. Outsourcing or changing of operations/ownership of anything in the water sector is not a simple task and the correct advice and processes are essential to a successful outcome both for the council and the private sector.

This Thinktank is an opportunity to look at some of the lessons learnt to date and to explore the opportunities and implications of these progressive models.
